Chart of Accounts

The Chart of Accounts (CoA) was designed to facilitate the merging of different CoA rollups from various sources, thereby creating a unified CoA structure. The permissible data sources for these rollups include CSV files, ODBC data, Excel sources, and staging cube data.

These rollups are initially loaded into the }APQ C3 FIN CoA Rollup Staging cube. From this staging cube, all the rollups can be merged into a single rollup in the central cube, }APQ C3 FIN CoA Map. This cube serves as a preview of the CoA, showcasing the consolidated structure (parent-child relationships) and key attribute values. Process-wise the cube allows to check any CoA structure changes before actual change, so the data integrity is maintained through the CoA update process.

The final structures of both operational and planning CoA dimensions and values of their attributes are derived from this cube through synchronization.

To ensure data integrity, processes for backing up and restoring the structure of the productive CoA dimensions have been put in place.
