Release Notes - FPM - 2025.02
Highlights
Apliqo UX Version
This release includes Apliqo UX version 2024.09 FP2.
Easier CTA calculation
The CTA (Cumulative Translation Adjustments) are now calculated without requiring a separate node for all accounts, excluding the designated CTA account. Instead, the technical CTA account can be directly mapped into the equity section of the balance sheet as needed. The calculation runs in the background, automatically excluding the CTA account while eliminating the need for users to manually define a node containing all other accounts.
Cash Flow Improvements
Cash Plug Without Configuration
Previously, planning your balance sheet cash position required fully defining an indirect cash flow statement, with the resulting cash plug amount (C3_Cash) derived from it. Now, the cash calculation runs automatically in the background as long as the cash account (C3_Cash) is defined. It simply reflects the movement of all other accounts.
While this does not replace a proper cash flow statement—we still strongly recommend setting one up—the system no longer depends on its existence to proceed with the balance sheet plan.
Advanced Cash Flow Calculation
For more comprehensive cash flow calculations, additional options are now available. While the traditional FPM cash flow statement considers the overall movement of assigned balance sheet or P&L positions, you can now define the cash flow statement in greater detail if needed.
Load or enter additional movement/flow types, which should not replace the overall movement (MOV) or be created under the closing balance node (CB).
Specify these flow types and their calculation sign (1 or -1) using the attributes “Cash Flow Transaction Type” and “Cash Flow Multiplier”. If no transaction type is specified, the overall movement will be assumed by default.
Improved Ad-Hoc Data Integration
You can now seamlessly integrate differently structured data sources without the need for custom Turbo Integrator coding. Through configuration, various CSV file formats and ODBC sources can be precisely mapped to efficiently load Trial Balances, Budgets, or other data types into the system.
For a detailed example, please refer to the documentation or training manual.
Accelerated Loading of Existing Budgets and Forecasts
Previously, loading an existing budget or forecast required processing the data through planning modules to ensure all necessary calculations were performed before analysis and reporting. With FPM 2025.02, you can now load the final budget (FBUD) or current forecast (CFCST) in the same streamlined manner as Actuals.
As with Actuals, data is loaded as movements in local company currency, with the system handling all subsequent calculations automatically.
While the preferred approach for planning new budgets and forecasts remains within the designated planning modules, this new functionality provides an efficient solution during initial implementation phases—especially when integrating a plan version created outside of Apliqo.
UI Improvements
Several enhancements have been made to the user interface of the following administration apps:
Time and Versions: Separate screens for maintaining Working and Variance versions, with improved highlighting of Actual vs. Plan periods.
Business Segments: Dedicated screens for Plan Mapping, Attribute Maintenance, and Security, providing a more intuitive and streamlined navigation experience.
