The Apliqo FPM database (powered by IBM Planning Analytics / TM1) consists of multiple cubes to handle the data flows and calculations. Generally the data is imported from a source into the intermediate cube "FIN General Ledger TB" (Trial Balance, hereinafter referred to as "TB cube") and then moved into the main cube "FIN General Ledger" (hereinafter referred to as "GL cube" using pre-built processes. From there a transfer of data into the three main planning cubes (Revenue, Expenses, Balance Sheet) takes place, oftentimes aggregating the data to allow for the planning input to happen on a more aggregated level. The final plan data will then be copied back into the General Ledger cube that represents the main data store for all reporting needs. The following schema illustrates these data flows on a high level.
