Installing Apliqo and UX Demo App
In this section of the training materials, we will be guiding you through the process of installing a demo application. This application will be used throughout the rest of the training materials, so it's important that you are able to successfully install it. The demo app is a great starting point for getting to know the different features and functionalities that will be covered in the upcoming exercises. It also contains numerous examples that can be used to help you experiment and try new things on your own.
Download the latest Apliqo UX installer file.
Right-click Apliqo UX installer file and select Run as Administrator
Follow the installation wizard:
Click Next button
Click I Agree button
Select:
Demo Applications
Install Apliqo Server
Click Next button
Finish installation by clicking Finish button
Ad-hoc analysis
1. Context menu
» Subset editor shortcuts
In this section, you'll explore Subset Editor Shortcuts, accessible via the table context menu. These shortcuts include, Selection (quickly change displayed elements), Remove Attribute and Attributes (replace current attribute with a new one) .
Click on the yellow dot visible in the screenshot below to proceed with the exercise. Each click (on the dot) will take you to the next step, and the number of steps for each exercise will be indicated. If you need to go back to a previous step, just use the back arrow.
» Drill
The feature will allow you to drill on each row, by any other dimension (including alternate hierarchies), which are part of the cube the view is based on.
» Edit Mode
In edit mode, the table context provides enhanced functionality, offering you a wider range of options, such as the ability to insert custom rows and columns, which can be leveraged for on-the-fly ad hoc analysis.
2. Sort
Selecting a column header with a simple click initiates sorting option, designed to simplify your analysis process.
3. Column Selection
In the page toolbar, you'll find Columns menu, providing you with the flexibility to adjust the visibility of the displayed columns.
4. Filters
In the page toolbar you'll find also find a filter icon . Clicking it allows you to filter each column according to your specified conditions.
User default settings
Each user can personalize their app experience by selecting a homepage that will open upon login or by clicking the app logo. Additionally, you can set preferred global filter values when no default is specified, and easily add selected pages to your favorites section for quick access.

Commentaries & Notifications
1. Commentaries
Application allows you to add comments to individual cells in a table. This feature can be helpful when working with large datasets and collaborating with others on data analysis tasks.
2. Notifications
Notification feature introduced a new way for users to communicate with each other. Notifications can be linked directly with reports, and are integrated with existing Annotations functionality. In this part we will focus on one of the available options, namely sending messages.
