Especially in cases when the dimension content is not maintained manually but for instance loaded from a data warehouse or ERP system it can be required to overwrite attribute values in Apliqo FPM. This happens on an exception basis, i.e. if an attribute value is not manually overwritten the initial value that has been loaded will be retained.
In the operative dimension tab switch to the "Overwrite Attribute" view. Then select the attribute you want to overwrite, e.g. Description. If the attribute does not appear in the list, you will have to run the process "Get Attributes" from the toolbar.
You can now maintain the attribute values in the column "Override Value". After running the "Update Attributes" process from the toolbar you should see the new attribute value being applied. Remember to activate the "Launch Attribute Framework updates" option in the dimension update configuration - this will ensure that after every update of the dimension any overwritten attribute values will be applied again.
