2024.02 » New Features and Enhancements

ODBC filters New feature

In the cube settings popup, users can utilize the ODBC option in the "Add Dimension" popup. This feature allows the addition of a new filter based on an ODBC source and table. Users can further update the filter by specifying a custom query to limit the elements displayed in the dropdown list. This enhancement provides increased flexibility in integrating external data sources.

Hierarchical sort New feature

The default in-table sorting option has been upgraded to a hierarchical sort, now applied automatically. Hierarchical sorting organizes the data in a way that parent elements group together with their respective children when viewing the table. This enhances the analysis, reflecting the natural hierarchy within the underlying data structure.

Moreover, the context menu, accessible by right-clicking on a column header, has been expanded to include a dedicated section for all available sorting options.

Add a new button for fast navigation from the action menu. Set it to jump to a specific view in the app, and customize by adding it as a toolbar button or embedding it in a widget.

Dynamic Number Formatting New feature

2024.20 version introduces a convenient feature allowing end users to effortlessly adjust number format in real-time. New dropdown list can be enabled (using the advanced options) in the widget header/views toolbar.

Users can now customize their preferred number format with ease, confirming selections with a simple click of the Apply button, instantly applying changes across the data. Preview of the current selection will be visible in the widget header. Users can return to the original configuration using Rest button.

This feature is active by default for the cube viewer widget.

Trace Cell Calculation New feature

This release introduces the Trace Cell Calculation feature, providing users with a deeper insight into data calculations within tables. Found in the table context menu, this option is initially disabled but can be enabled via the Table Config settings.

Upon selecting the Trace cell calculation option after right-clicking on a cell, a new popup interface is triggered, offering users comprehensive visibility into the data and its calculations.
