Business Segment Usage

In addition to the Company dimension, there are four Business Segments that can be defined in Apliqo FPM. The Company dimension must be used. The one or more business segments can be used.
The set the Business Segment usage click on the Settings popup on the toolbar.
Usage is set globally and then for a specific module. The FIN BSEG dimensions are used in the General Ledger cube. Generally FIN BSEG dimensions are the same globally and for the General Ledger. The FIN BSEG Plan dimensions can be used differently for Revenue Planning, Expense Planning and Balance Sheet Planning depending on the level detail the business wishes to plan.
If a Business Segment is not used it still part of the underlying structure of cube. When loading the Trial Balance or other statistical data to the FIN General Ledger TB cube, for the unused business segment the data should be loaded to the NA FIN BSEG x element in the dimension. When Apliqo FPM moves data between modules the business segment usage for the module is reference from these settings.
